Our standard drive-away time is 2 hours, it takes approximately 1 hour to remove and refit a new windscreen on most vehicles, and then the adhesive is required to sit and cure for 1 hour before it is safe to drive again.
Other factors like ADAS sensors affect vehicle drive-away time as these are required to be recalibrated, This can add an hour or two onto your windscreen replacement.
Windscreen replacement cost varies from vehicle to vehicle and is dependent on supplier availability and glass used. (Aftermarket or Genuine) For the most part insurers will always ask us to use a ‘like-for-like’ aftermarket glass that meets Australian standards, these are readily available (Same-day/next day in most cases) direct from suppliers and will be used for 95% of all replacements. These replacements will typically cost between $300 and $600.
Genuine replacements lead times (how long it takes to receive replacement windscreens) vary from several days to several weeks), they are typically significantly more expensive.
Further Considerations, features like Heads Up Display (HUD’s, Rain Sensors and ADAS Cameras) can drive the cost of windscreen replacement to be between $850 and $1500.If you’re looking for an exact quote for your vehicle, please reach out to our team directly 07 5527 2430 and we’ll be able to tell you how much and when we can complete your repair.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are not installed in all vehicles, but if your vehicle has features like lane departure warning or automatic parking, it is likely equipped with an ADAS windshield. You can check for ADAS sensors at the top of the windshield, typically located near the rearview mirror and rain sensor.
These systems are becoming more common as most manufacturers increasingly implement them in new vehicles. This trend highlights the growing importance of ensuring proper ADAS calibration during windscreen replacements to maintain vehicle safety and functionality.
See the reference pictures below to get an idea of what to look for. These might not be exactly the same as your vehicle, as every manufacturer and vehicle is different, but their appearance is generally similar. (Click each image to enlarge it)

A stone chip repair typically takes about 10 minutes when done in the controlled environment of our Nerang workshop.
Stone chip repairs start from $85.
Factors include the size and location of the chip, the type of damage, and whether there are any previous repairs in the area. Chips within the Critical Vision Area (CVA) have stricter criteria.
Not all chips are repairable. Chips that are too large, located in critical areas, or have caused significant damage to the glass layers may require a full replacement. Our technicians will assess the damage and advise the best course of action.
The CVA is the section of the windscreen immediately in front of the driver, the width of the steering wheel, extending from the top to the bottom of the windscreen. Chips and cracks in this area have stricter repair criteria.
Windscreens should be replaced if the damage is extensive, located in the CVA, or if the crack or chip penetrates through the laminate layer. Also, if there are multiple previous repairs in the area, a replacement is recommended.
A typical windscreen replacement can take between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the make and model of the vehicle.
We offer a range of options including genuine OEM glass, aftermarket glass that meets Australian standards, and occasionally second-hand glass. The choice depends on your budget and specific needs.
